The students in the European Section follow a Programme of Inquiry made up of six consecutive units the students work on through the year. 

These units are based around six organizing themes, big ideas about our world and who we are. 

Through this framework the student becomes familiar with the organizing themes and develops a greater understanding of the world around them.

Organizing Themes
  a.. Who are we?
  b.. Where are we in time and space?
  c.. How do we express ourselves?
  d.. How does the world work?
  e.. How do we organize ourselves?
  f.. How do we share the planet?

The Units of Inquiry have been developed within our school in conjunction with the International Baccalaureate anization and other PYP schools.

The units reflect the study of our local community as well as the world around us and make up between forty and sixty percent of class teaching time.

The duration of each unit ranges from 6-8 weeks.
The units of inquiry are designed to incorporate different subject areas, however each unit has a specific subject area focus.

The Kindergarten programme covers four units a year. Two of these are based on the themes Who We Are and How We Express Ourselves, the other two units are at the discretion of the teacher.

These can range between 4 and 6 weeks or can be spread over the whole school year.
