This vision acts as a guiding light in all areas of the school's operations underpinning our behaviours, plans, programmes and monitoring procedures.
Our purpose is to enable students to look beyond what they think is possible to achieve the unimaginable. We want them to see a world of opportunity, not a world of limitations. This will stand them in good stead when they leave our school to pursue secondary education. Our vision is to create an innovative, multi-faceted, dynamic 'resource-rich' learning environment that provides every student with a range of opportunities for success, self-discovery and leadership, making the European School one of the best international schools in Japan.
This demands that the school hold a vision concerned with the development of the whole person - intellectually, physically, emotionally, psychologically, socially and spiritually - affirming and valuing the students as individuals capable of making valuable contributions to society, whilst emphasizing the dignity of each individual and promoting respect for others.
We think that our decision to implement the IBO Curriculum in the European section and the State of Thueringen Curriculum in the German section will help us to achieve these goals.
